The platform is now making a push on QR codes once again, with the recent addition of QR codes for Broadcast Channels in June. While QR codes may not be a game changer, they offer another option for highlighting an Instagram presence and giving more people access to content.
Maybe Instagram should also consider printing hard copies of these cards for creators to use, similar to what they did with Threads profile cards for the platform’s first birthday. However, this may be cost prohibitive for many users. For now, users can access their Instagram QR code by tapping on the “Share profile” option on their profile, as the new profile cards are currently in limited testing.
