Instagram Testing Carousels within Reels to Enhance Content Sharing Options
Instagram is currently testing a new feature called carousels within Reels, which will enable users to post multiple videos and/or still images in a single Reels post. This feature is similar to TikTok’s option to share still images within the main feed. Carousel posts in Reels could be a handy addition for businesses, providing them with new options to showcase their products and tell stories in a more engaging way. As Reels is Meta’s fastest-growing content format, it makes sense for Instagram to explore different presentation options to maximize user reach. Although there is no official word on when this feature will be fully rolled out, some brands are already testing the option in-stream.
