It has come to light that users posting “opt-out” messages on social media to prevent Meta from using their content for A.I. training may not be effective. Meta’s user agreement grants the platform a comprehensive license to use, modify, and create derivative works of user-generated content. EU users, however, will soon have the option to opt out of having their posts used for A.I. training.
