How the TikTok side works

The deep dive exchange

A deep dive is a visit to your profile rather than to a single video: a matched creator opens your account and watches several videos end to end. It is priced at 3.5×, the most expensive action on the board, because it asks the most of the person performing it. It is built and has not shipped — it is one of the three held for a member vote.

Deep Dive

Built, not shipped

A visit to your profile rather than to a single video: a matched creator opens your account and watches several videos through. It is the most expensive action on the board because it asks the most of the person performing it, and it is the only one aimed at the profile rather than a post.

What actually happens

What the person giving it does

  1. 1 Open the creator's profile in the TikTok app and watch their 3 most recent videos, back to back.
  2. 2 Come back and confirm. The time away has to cover the combined length of the three.

Every step is a person, by hand, in the TikTok app. Nothing is automated, no password is held and nothing is performed on anyone's behalf. Where a step involves time away, that time is measured on the server from the moment they leave, never from a countdown on the page.

What arrives with it

  • A profile visit
  • Watch time across 3 videos
  • A viewer who has now watched you more than once

If it does not arrive

You can dispute it on any of these grounds, with screenshot proof, a right of reply and a human moderator.

  • The profile was unavailable
  • The account was private
  • The profile had no videos

What a deep dive session looks like

It is ordered against your account rather than against a video, which changes two things. There is nothing to pick, and there can be only one active deep dive order per account at a time — stacking orders that all count against the same lifetime pair would never deliver.

The visitor is asked for your 3 most recent videos, back to back. The app opens your profile in TikTok, stamps the moment they left, and will not count the visit until the time away covers 95% of the combined length of the three, with a floor of 20 seconds whatever the videos add up to. A profile of three nine-second clips and a profile of three two-minute explainers are not the same ask, and the gate follows the ask.

Then they come back and confirm. If the profile was unavailable, private, or had no videos, the visit can be disputed, and disputes carry screenshot proof, a right of reply and a human moderator.

Why the profile, not the post

Every other action on the board points at one video. A deep dive points at an account.

That difference is the whole argument for it. A creator whose individual videos perform reasonably but whose profile converts nobody has a problem no per-video action can diagnose. Someone arriving at the profile, watching three videos and forming an impression is the closest thing to the actual experience a new viewer has.

It is also the action most obviously worth its price. Three videos watched end to end is several minutes of a real person's attention, which is why it costs 3.5× against a base of 5 engagements per point rather than the 0.5× a save costs.

What it is not

It is not a follow. Nothing in the deep dive asks anyone to follow the account, and a follow exchange is one of the things deliberately not built here — the reasons are on the not-built page and they are not close.

It is not a review or a critique. The creator watches; they are not asked to file an opinion, and a system that paid for opinions would get the opinions it paid for.

It is not a way to move a follower count. What a profile visit does downstream is between your profile and the person looking at it.

Common questions

Is the TikTok deep dive open?

No. It is built and tested and held for a member vote, along with Watch and Saves.

Why is it the most expensive action?

Because it asks the most: three videos watched end to end, rather than one action on one post. It is priced at 3.5×.

Does a deep dive include a follow?

No. There is no follow anywhere in PodSwap's TikTok software, and a follow exchange is deliberately not built.
