Readiness

Having asked for a room recently enough to count toward opening it — which is not the same as being logged in.

A room opens on a headcount of creators who are READY, and readiness is measured on intent rather than on activity. What signals it: taking a seat by hand, spending points, completing an engagement, opening the waiting room, and being checked into a room already running.

Browsing the site does not. This site previously said it did — that "simply using the site" kept you counted — and the product had deliberately removed exactly that signal: holding a seat is what being logged in gets you, and asking for a room is what opens one. The waiting room is the exception, and the surest way to stay ready: it keeps a heartbeat while it is open.

Readiness lasts 2 hours, and is counted per person rather than per account, so one member with eight accounts is one creator toward a threshold.
