Standing seat

An opt-in setting that keeps your seat in an exchange you already have demand in.

It saves you re-taking a seat every time. What it deliberately does not do is signal readiness on your behalf: a standing seat holds a place, it does not tell a room you are waiting for it.

That line is the whole design. A setting that quietly counted absent members toward a threshold would open rooms to nobody, which is the failure the readiness model exists to prevent.
