Read the available post observations and avoid confusing public signals with private Instagram Insights.
Choose a post
Open a connected Instagram account and select the post you want to inspect. Check when it was published and when its data was last observed.
Check which metrics are available
Use the metrics actually shown for that post. Missing observations are not zero results. Public data does not reveal all private reach, save, share or watch-time metrics; use Instagram Insights for the private metrics it supplies.
Compare fairly
Compare posts of similar age and format. A score or correlation is a reason to investigate, not proof that a single change caused a result. Account eligibility and data availability affect which analysis is shown.
