The Growth Tracker

Generic advice about the best time to post is worth very little. The Tracker works from your account only, which is the only sample that can answer the question for you.

The heatmap

A 7 × 24 grid of average engagement by weekday and hour, built from your own post history. The pattern is usually narrower than people expect, and rarely matches the hours the listicles recommend.

It needs a reasonable number of posts before it means anything — a thin grid is shown as thin rather than smoothed into a confident-looking answer.

Formats and tags

Average engagement is broken out by content format — single image, carousel and video — so you can see which one your audience actually rewards.

The top tags extracted from your posts are ranked by the engagement of the posts they appear on. That is a correlation, not a recommendation, and it is presented as one.

Common questions

What is the best time to post on Instagram?

There is no universal answer, which is why PodSwap builds a 7 × 24 heatmap from your own posts rather than quoting a global average. The best hour for a fitness account in one timezone has no bearing on a food account in another.
