Getting started
There is no password on PodSwap — not for your account, and certainly not for your Instagram. Ownership of a handle is proved by doing the thing the product is for, which takes about five minutes and leaves five creators better off than it found them.

Getting in
A magic link. Emailed to you, opens straight into your account. Nothing to remember.
A login code. The same idea for when you are moving between devices and cannot follow a link.
Google, Apple, Facebook or LinkedIn. Standard OAuth. PodSwap receives an identity, not a credential.
Connecting an account
Pick a platform. Instagram, or TikTok where the comment exchange is open.
Give your handle. Looked up against the public profile. A handle already connected to someone else is refused.
Choose your niches. Up to ten. This is what the matching engine refines on after follower bracket.
Pick your posts. The recent public posts you want engagement on.
Write or generate comments. Your own library of comments to give, so you are not staring at a blank box in the flow.
Prove you own it. Leave 5 real comments through the app. That is the whole verification: no password, no OAuth token, no official API.
Why verification looks like that
Proving ownership by commenting is not a workaround for the lack of an API. It is the only proof that cannot be handed over: a password can be shared, an OAuth token can be issued by anyone with the password, but comments appearing under a post from the account in question can only be left by someone holding the phone. It also means the verification step is itself useful work — you have given five real creators a comment by the time you are verified.
It works the same way on TikTok, which used to be different: ownership there was proved with a code in your bio until both platforms moved to one wizard with one definition of verified.
And how to leave
You can delete your account and its data yourself, from inside the product. The only thing that blocks it is an open dispute, because somebody else is waiting on the outcome.
You can also run several accounts under one login and switch between them without signing out.
Common questions
Does PodSwap need my Instagram password?
No, and there is nowhere to enter one. Ownership is proved by leaving 5 real comments through the app. PodSwap does not use the official Instagram API either.
How do I sign up for PodSwap?
With a magic link, a login code, or Google, Apple or LinkedIn. There is no PodSwap password to choose or forget.
Can I delete my PodSwap account?
Yes, yourself, from inside the product. An open dispute is the only thing that holds it up, because another member is waiting on the result.
