Engagement Orders
Learn how to manage, track, and monitor your active and past engagement orders across all exchanges.
What are Engagement Orders?
Every time you spend points to receive engagement (comments, shares, saves, follows, or story views) on an exchange, an Engagement Order is created.
This order tracks the progress of your request as other creators in the network fulfill it. You can see the total number of engagements requested compared to how many have been successfully delivered.
How orders are delivered
Every exchange is open around the clock, so an order is served whenever other creators are giving. It does not wait for a room or a time.
Orders are served in give-to-get order. A new post from a creator who has been giving goes first, then new members' welcome orders, then creators who have given more than they received recently, then those who are square, then those who are not giving. Members who have been away for a month or more are served last, and their orders go back into line when they return.
To get an order moving, give. Engaging with other creators is what moves your own orders up, and the This week card on your dashboard shows what came back to you and who is waiting for you to give back.
Order Statuses
Your orders can have one of several statuses depending on their progress:
- Active — The order is currently in the queue and being fulfilled by the network.
- Paused — You have temporarily paused the order. It will not receive further engagement until resumed.
- Completed — All requested engagements have been fully delivered.
- Cancelled — The order was manually stopped before completion.
Managing Your Orders
While an order is active, you have two primary control options:
- Pause/Resume — If you want to temporarily halt engagement (for instance, to space out activity), you can pause the order. Resume it anytime to continue receiving engagement.
- Cancel — If you want to permanently stop an order before it finishes, you can cancel it.
Note: When you cancel an active order, any unused points will be automatically refunded to your balance (rounded to the nearest fulfillment unit).
Filtering Your History
By default, the Orders page shows all your past and present orders across all networks. You can use the filter buttons at the top of the history list to quickly narrow down to specific types of engagement, such as just your Comment or Story orders.
