How to get more comments on TikTok
Comments come from three things: a video that leaves something to say, a creator who replies, and viewers who were plausible viewers of that subject to begin with. TikTok names comments among the interaction signals the For You feed reads, and a live comment section is also what a passing scroller looks at to decide whether a video is worth stopping on. PodSwap's TikTok comment exchange is open: matched creators write comments by hand, one point buys 5, and no account can leave more than 15 in a day.

Leave something to say
People comment when there is a gap to fill. A question left open, an opinion stated flatly enough to disagree with, a step skipped that somebody will want to ask about, a claim that invites "actually". A video that resolves everything it raises is satisfying to watch and gives nobody a reason to type.
The strongest version is a genuine question you want the answer to, asked in the video rather than bolted onto the caption. "Which would you pick" gets answered; "comment below" gets scrolled past.
Controversy works and costs. A take that a third of viewers disagree with fills a comment section; a take that reads as bait fills it with people telling you it is bait, and the eligibility standards treat manufactured outrage as a reason not to recommend.
Reply, and reply early
Your replies appear in the same comment count, so a creator who answers doubles the section on their own. More importantly, a reply pulls the commenter back to the video, and a comment section where the creator is present reads to a new viewer as a place where saying something gets a response.
The reply-with-video feature turns the best question in a comment section into the next post, with the question pinned on it. It is the most reliable source of a second video people already want.
Reply in the first hour. That is when the video is being tested on its first audience, and a section that is already alive by then is what the next wave of viewers sees.
What quietly kills comments
Comment bait. "Comment X for Y" and its relatives are named in the For You feed eligibility standards as engagement bait, and a video judged to be bait can be left up and never recommended, with nothing to appeal.
Bought comments. A section full of generic lines from accounts that never watched reads as fake to any real viewer in about a second, and the trade is what TikTok's fake-engagement rule names directly.
Attention from the wrong people. A hundred viewers with no interest in your subject watch three seconds and leave, and none of them has anything to say. Volume without topic produces silence, not comments.
Comments from matched creators
What the TikTok comment exchange delivers is a comment written by a person in your follower bracket and your subject, who opened your profile, watched the video, and either used a comment from the set you supplied, swapped it for another from the same set, or rewrote it. It is left by hand in the TikTok app. Nothing is automated and nothing is posted on anyone's behalf.
It arrives with company: the flow that produces it opens your profile first and asks for a like on honour, so a comment usually brings a profile visit and often a like with it.
It is checked. 2 minutes after the person confirms, the video's comment list is read back to find it. And if it did not arrive, was deleted, or was off-topic, you can dispute it — with screenshot proof, a right of reply and a human moderator, and penalties that run both ways.
It is capped. No account can leave more than 15 in a day, comments may not exceed 8% of a video's views, and delivery stays under 30% of the reach the video earned on its own. A comment section several times larger than your audience would produce is describing an arrangement, and the caps exist so that it cannot.
Common questions
Do comments help the TikTok algorithm?
Comments are on TikTok's published list of the interaction signals the For You feed reads. What is not published is their weight, and TikTok's own weighting example puts a finished watch above any single action.
Should I reply to every comment?
Early on, yes: replies count, pull people back and make the section look alive. Past a certain size, reply to the ones that ask something or add something, which is the same rule that decides what to comment on anyone else's video.
Can I use the TikTok comment exchange today?
Yes. It is the one of the four TikTok exchanges that has shipped. Connect a TikTok account, prove you own it by leaving 5 comments through the app, and it is open to you.
Who writes the comments?
Real creators, by hand, in the TikTok app. You supply a set of comments — written by you, or generated from the video's caption — and the person delivering it can use one, swap it for another from the set, or change it. Filler is rejected before it is ever offered.
