New TikTok account, no views

The system has no signal about who your content suits, so early distribution is a series of small tests. One video reaching two hundred people and the next reaching twenty thousand is ordinary variance at this stage, not evidence of anything.

This is why judging a new account on individual videos is useless. Five videos, all at least 72 hours old, is the smallest sample that says anything at all.

Posting a burst on day one. A brand-new account posting ten videos in an afternoon looks like an automated account, and it is the closest thing to a self-inflicted restriction available to a beginner.

Recycled footage. Content posted elsewhere first, watermarked, or reposted from another account is the most common cause of a genuinely capped new account.

A bio full of links and contact details before there is anything to contact anyone about.

Chasing whatever is trending rather than posting something a specific group of people would care about. The system is trying to work out who to show you to, and undifferentiated content makes that harder.

This is the case where matched distribution is most obviously worth something and most obviously oversold, so it is worth stating both sides plainly.

What it can do: put your video in front of a small number of real creators in your subject area who will watch it properly and tell you whether it works. For a new account with no audience, early qualitative feedback is genuinely scarce.

What it cannot do: manufacture reach. PodSwap's TikTok side caps matched delivery at 30% of the reach a video earned on its own, precisely so it cannot become the audience. A video with two hundred organic views does not get six hundred matched ones.

None of this is available today. The TikTok software is written and tested; no TikTok account can be connected and every room is closed.
