Trust & safety
Your data, and your controls
Every switch you hold: directory visibility, blocking, notification topics, quiet hours and self-serve deletion.
Appearing in the public directory is a choice
A profile appears here only while its owner keeps directory visibility switched on, and the setting names this site and what it will show. Switching it off replaces the public profile with a removal notice that search engines are told not to index. This site caches the directory for 24 hours, so a withdrawal can take up to a day to disappear from these pages.
The setting names this website and lists what it will show — your niches, your engagement stats, your reviews and your collaboration channels. Switching it off replaces the public profile with a removal notice that search engines are told not to index.
The verified tick on a directory card is Instagram's own blue check, read from the public profile. It is not a PodSwap verification. Proving you own an account here is a separate thing entirely, done by leaving 5 real comments through the app.
Who can reach you
Blocking. A blocked creator never appears in your directory results and is never matched to you.
Saving. A private shortlist with your own notes and outreach status. Nobody is told you saved them.
Rate limits. Every account has a daily ceiling on outbound requests — 10 on Free — which is a spam rail before it is a tier feature.
One order per pair. A duplicate order against the same creator for the same service is refused while the first is still open.
What you are sent, and when
An announced opening is emailed ahead of time to the creators whose waking hours it falls in, never more than 1 room email a day per member across every exchange, and never between 22:00 and 08:00 in your own local time. A room opening on readiness alone is announced in the app and by push, not by email — an email about a room is still in the inbox tomorrow morning advertising something that closed last night.
Quiet hours need to know what time it is where you are. Your browser reports that when you sign in, and it is the first thing checked. Where it is missing, the timezone is inferred from the timestamps of your own activity on PodSwap — never from your IP address and never from a third party — and an inferred zone never overwrites a reported one.
Unsubscribing from email is per topic rather than all-or-nothing, so leaving the weekly digest does not stop you hearing about a dispute filed against you.
What is read from your account, and what never is
Public profile data and roughly your last twelve posts, read the way any visitor to your profile would read them. No Instagram Insights, which is why reach and impressions are never reported anywhere on this site.
No password and no OAuth token exists for any creator, so there is nothing that could be used to act on your account even in principle.
Leaving
You can delete your account and its data yourself, from inside the product. The only thing that holds it up is an open dispute, because another member is waiting on the outcome.
Common questions
Can I hide my profile from the public PodSwap directory?
A profile appears here only while its owner keeps directory visibility switched on, and the setting names this site and what it will show. Switching it off replaces the public profile with a removal notice that search engines are told not to index. This site caches the directory for 24 hours, so a withdrawal can take up to a day to disappear from these pages.
Does the verified tick on a PodSwap profile mean PodSwap verified them?
The verified tick on a directory card is Instagram's own blue check, read from the public profile. It is not a PodSwap verification. Proving you own an account here is a separate thing entirely, done by leaving 5 real comments through the app.
How does PodSwap know my timezone?
Quiet hours need to know what time it is where you are. Your browser reports that when you sign in, and it is the first thing checked. Where it is missing, the timezone is inferred from the timestamps of your own activity on PodSwap — never from your IP address and never from a third party — and an inferred zone never overwrites a reported one.
Can I delete my PodSwap account?
Yes, yourself, from inside the product. An open dispute is the only thing that delays it, because another member is waiting on the result.
